Scouting & Strategy

Scouting and strategy the often-overlooked roles at competition. We want to know who we're playing with/against, and the only way to do that is by collecting data about how well they play.

Scouting data is also essential if we become alliance captains.

Scouts

Scouts are the backbone of the strategy team. They watch every robot, every match, to collect the data we need.

Pit Scouts

While robots are still playing their first few matches, the pit scouts are walking around asking teams about their robots.

Lead Scout

The lead scout coordinates the scouts. They make sure that everyone is where they're supposed to be and watching the right robot.

Strategy Lead

The strategy lead is the link between the drive team and the scouts. They analyze the collected data and work with the drive team to plan matches.
